Amy & Jake

This is Amy & Jake who are getting married next year.  They are the funnest people you will ever meet.  (That's right... "funnest". )  They can also jump very, very high... both of them.  Amy was a champion gymnast, but we aren't sure what Jake's excuse is.  Maybe he just really, really likes Burgers and Beer.  I'll be putting more shots of them on our site.  I have much needed updating to do...  Updating the site is the funnest.  

Random Austin Shots.

When we were in Austin, we got to spend part of Friday just wandering around and shooting for no reason.  Which is always fun.  We stopped in a bunch of great shops where we bought stupid things like Bren's scary finger puppet.  You must try a cupcake from Wes' travelin' cupcake stand, hey cupcake!  Go to www.heycupcake.com and check 'em out.  I made mine a whippersnapper (whip cream filled), and I was feeling the sugar rush for the rest of the day.  And if you want to stay somewhere different, check out Austin Motel.  Their sign says it all.  We have a zillion more random Austin shots, so as I go through them I will add some more.  They will leave you chanting "Keep Austin Weird!".  AMEN to that brother.       

FOOTLOOSE in AUSTIN!!!

Our trip to Austin was just AWESOME!  The engagement shoot with Haley & Nathan in San Marcos was such a blast!  We spent the whole day just hanging out and taking pictures in a town we'd never been to and eating some dang good catfish and homemade french fries.  Then it was on to Austin...  We arrived and everyone kept saying "It's going to rain!".  So, they decided to move the wedding indoors.  But Megan (the super brave bride that she is) said, "NO!".  She was determined rain or shine they were getting married outside in the Wildflower Gardens.  And who could blame her?  It was beautiful there!  So, we went from rainy day to beautiful, blue skys right before the ceremony started.  The dinner outside was perfect, and then during the reception the storms came down... HARD!  And this Austin group made the most out of it and turned it into one of the best things we've ever seen happen at a wedding.  They pointed the PA speakers to the open doors, turned up "Footloose" full blast, and ran out into the pouring rainstorm barefoot and danced their boo-tays off.  Parents, friends, wedding party... they were all in on it...  soaking wet and celebrating an awesome day.  

ROAD TRIPPIN'!!!!

We are leaving for Austin for some engagement shoots and a wedding.  We are so excited!!!  Brendan and I heart road trips!  And we love shooting in new places.  One of our engagement sessions is in San Marcos with a 2009 couple, Haley & Nathan.  This is where they met, so it seems only right that we do their engagements there too.  Then it's back up to Austin for a wedding, then back to Dallas for two weddings here.  And of course, our blog and site have (yet again) been neglected.  I promise to update more next week.  We have tons of new pics, and I can't wait to get them all up.  The one above is Samantha & Andrew who actually moved their wedding date up.  They were going to get married in '09, but they just couldn't wait.  Who can blame them.  Marriage is so fun is should start as soon as possible.  We had such a great day with them, and we are SO looking forward to doing bridals with Samantha.

This is Carie.

Carie is a photographer's dream bride!  We took her on the longest bridal shoot we have ever done, and she was with us the whole time.  We had never done bridals in Las Colinas before, so we were having a blast.  Of course, there were tons of other brides and photographers there, but at the end of the day, Carie was the last bride standing.  We cannot wait for her wedding in May.  We hear there's going to be a bounce house!!! Aaaah, yet another photographer's dream!    

Chelsea & Matt

We have been shooting non-stop lately, so we are a little behind on our blog and updating the site.  I wanted to put this one up before we left to shoot again.  This is Chelsea & Matt who are getting married in May.  Chelsea & Matt are so cool!  We took a break from shooting to have a beer, and we ended up talking so long we almost missed the sunset pictures.  If you ever get a chance to hang out with Chelsea & Matt, DO IT!
